#3 Laissons faire les pros !

  • ENGLISH VERSION HERE BELOW

  • [BREAKIN BEZZ]  Our partnership is official !

Brand new French Beez website! Completely revamped

Last year, we spent an unbelievable number of hours on the first version of French Beez website: sleepless nights, crashes, bugs, unhelpful supports leaving us desperate with a slower system…

None of us are IT developers. It’s a real work! Our very limited financial resources combined with our boundless motivation pushed us in the elaboration of the website. Alone we were in the process.

First lesson about E-commerce: The platforms specialised in on-line boutique opening are not “easy”

with the exception of Wix but you should not have more than 20 products to sell…

Someone advised us wrongly into going with a Prestashop platform. They say their mission is to “enable everyone to build a successful online store”. it’s not true!!! It is not easy to install, it is not easy to set it up. And they should say “ enable all the developers to build a successful online store”. The successful part is another chapter of the book…

The reality is so different: too many hours spent reading the instruction manual, looking for tutos on youtube and seaking desperately for some help. Prestashop is barely used in HK so not an easy job to find help…)

And we could write a very instructive book about “Everything that you should not do during the opening process of your on-line boutique and the everyday use on Prestashop”

Constance remembered with a certain emotion her last architect job when customers came with their futur flat map. Clients conscientiously used a ruler and a squared paper : everything was well drawn but we had to tell them : “Well done! Great job!! But we have to do it all over…”

After few months of use, we had to admit that all the bugs and approximations threatened the efficiency of our great website. Visits were increasing everyday but the sales remained unchanged.

Beside, feedbacks from our designers, customers and website experts were not unanimous.

With that in mind, we arranged a meeting with our favorite digital marketing agency ((wild at heart) in order to let the professional do their job, this time!

We are all set today to show you what we are the best at: finding French designers from all over the world!

Come and have a look on our new French-beez website and do not hesitate to give us your advice

Everything you should know regarding Market places

What is a Market Place?

A Market place is a website where you can buy products from differents sellers.

Buyers pay directly on the Market Place who will then give the money to the sellers minus a commission. It is a three part agreement.

A little bit like Department store.

Who can sell on a Market Place?

Everybody can sell on a Market Place. With or without a website, beginners or long lasting businesses, Market Places are made for everyone.

NB: To join French Beez we ask that designers have a brand and a registered company

Why selling on a Market place rather than on your own website?

Reason 1 : To benefit from the Market Place traffic website

Reason 2 : To try a new market and change your customers profiles

Reason 3 : To evaluate the feasibility of a project by having a website plateform without investing money

Reason 4: To sell off some stock in a different way

Reason 5: To beneficiate from the Market Place reputation and trust

Reason 6: To internationalize sales and be in touch with international customers

Reason 7: To beneficiate from the same space and treatment as competitors have

Reason 8: To reduce the dependency towards Google specially with its SEO rules

What are the the risks to sell on a Market Place?

Risk 1: The set up of all your product pages can be time consuming. Beside it is not advised to duplicate and copy your products pages from your own website onto the Market Place for SEO issues.

Risk 2: Your prices are not always competitives abroad because local sellers can also sell through the Market Place with more competitive prices.

Risk 3: Payments are longer and sometimes difficult to get

Risk 4: Difficulties to stand out from competitors. It is important for the sellers to optimize their search criteria by prices and quality of their service.

Risk 5: Some websites measure the performance of the brands regarding their deliveries, returns and exchanges as well as faulty products rates.

What are customers looking on a Market Place?

Benefit 1: A wide offer

Benefit 2: Competition and thus sweet prices

Benefit 3: A customer focus after sales service

Benefit 4: Quick orders and check outs especially if customers have already signed in

Bénéfice 5: Reviews on the products
